Delhi Crime - Season 3

Delhi Crime Season 3

is a Hindi crime thriller series inspired by real incidents. I watched the first season a few years ago. The story and making of that season made me watch many more Hindi crime web series after that. I skipped the second season. The reason I directly watched the third season was Huma Qureshi. I thought Oh she is here too Maybe she is playing a police officer. But no. Only Vartika Chaturvedi and Neeti Singh are police officers. Those are the character names. I still do not know the real names of the actors. I will learn them later. But Huma plays the villain. I wondered if she could pull it off. She absolutely nailed it. Come let us see how the experience was.

As per the story, Vartika Chaturvedi and her police team set up a random checkpoint on a road to catch an illegal weapons shipment. A water tanker lorry arrives. As soon as the driver sees the checkpoint, he stops a little far away. The police announce through a loudspeaker asking them to get down from the vehicle. Two men get down and immediately start shooting at the police. The police fire back and the two men escape through the nearby forest. The police carefully approach the tanker. First they use a metal detector but do not find any weapons. Then they wonder why those men opened fire and ran away. When they open the tanker, they find it full of young girls. The men were transporting them illegally and wanted to escape before the police could inspect the vehicle. During the investigation they discover that around twenty more girls have recently been trafficked in a similar way. Now they have to find and rescue those girls before they are sold. That is the story. Actually these incidents are based on real cases. But how can the police find girls who have already been taken away There are no clues about where they came from or where they were taken. On top of that this is an interstate case.

That is when another case comes to Delhi DCP Neeti Singh. A young girl brings a two year old child to AIIMS hospital. The child has severe injuries with bite marks and bruises all over the body. She leaves the child on a stretcher in the hospital corridor and runs away without even looking back. When the police check the CCTV footage, they see that the girl came in an auto. She does not even look fourteen years old. Now the police have one clue which is the auto number. They start following that lead and it eventually connects with the woman trafficking case. From there both cases become one investigation. That is the rest of the story and also what happened in real life. In the series the little girl's name is Noor. But in the real incident the child brought to AIIMS hospital in that condition was named Falak. You can search about her. There are many heartbreaking details.

Shefali Shah plays Vartika Chaturvedi. Her performance impressed everyone from the very first season itself. Even in this third season she delivers another brilliant performance. She is so convincing as a senior police officer. Her eyes alone carry so much responsibility and authority. In some scenes she handles situations not just like a police officer but like a responsible human being. That is one of the biggest strengths of this series. Along with her, the actress playing Neeti Singh also deserves equal praise. If Vartika is one side of the scale, Neeti is the other. Some scenes are especially emotional. One such scene is where she breaks down because of little Noor. While Noor is receiving treatment in the ICU, not just for one or two days but throughout her stay in the hospital, the child remains in intensive care.

She had severe head injuries. She struggled to breathe. There were deep bite marks from an adult on both her cheeks. Doctors always advise us not even to kiss babies on their cheeks because infections can spread. They even say we should touch babies only with clean hands and face. But here someone bit her so deeply that their teeth left marks. What kind of cruelty is this As if that was not enough, the child suffered two heart attacks while fighting for her life. She was only two years old. Personally I have never heard or seen anything this horrifying before. Even thinking about it is painful. I am sorry. She passed away after the third heart attack.

If you have already watched this season that is fine. But if you are planning to watch it now, prepare yourself mentally. This scene will shake anyone. You do not have to be a very emotional person. These feelings are simply part of being human. If this itself is heartbreaking, just imagine the condition of the women who were sold in Thailand. In this series the character played by Huma Qureshi has absolutely no humanity. She tricks young women by promising them good jobs and then traffics them to Thailand and sells them for money. Just think about it. Sometimes we struggle to breathe even when a bus is crowded. But these girls are transported from one place to another inside tankers and containers. Would any of us willingly travel like that Are they animals

I did not take this as just another story. These things really happened and are still happening 😳 The reason I became so emotional is because it is not only about woman trafficking. Many terrible crimes are increasing around us. They are not happening somewhere far away. They are happening close to us. It hurts to hear about them, see them and read about them. I only hope that one day we never have to see a web series or movie called Chennai Crime made because of such real incidents.

Okay friends, let's see in the next post. See ya!
