Our Fault
is the third movie in a trilogy. Earlier, I had written a review called Fault London about the first two movies My Fault London and Your Fault London. Friends can click and read that if they want. This movie was also released on Amazon Prime. Since I had already watched the previous movies, I clicked on this one without paying much attention. Then came a huge shock. Yes, let us see what that shocking experience was.
Whatever the story was, the first shock was Who is this girl? Where is Noah? Then I noticed the English title was written in a different style. Then I realised Oh no, this is Spanish. Next, the story was not happening in London. It was taking place in Ibiza. I wondered why Noah had suddenly gone to Ibiza. Then I realised it was for a wedding. Fine. It was Leon and Jenna's wedding. Leon had already proposed to Jenna in Your Fault. That was okay. But even those two characters were played by different actors. Even though I already knew the story connecting the previous two movies and this one, I could not understand who was talking to whom.
Immediately I turned to Google and found out the truth. The first two movies were made in English and later dubbed into Tamil before releasing on Prime. But this third movie was never made in English. It was made directly in Spanish. That is why there was no English cast. No London. No Asha Banks. Fine. From that moment, I had to search for every character like a Chief Minister searching a missing father. After a long time, I finally realised that was Michael. Then I got another confusion. Didn't Nick beat him almost to death in the previous part and go to jail? Only later did I realise Michael did not die. Nick went to jail only for beating him that badly. That shows how carefully I watched the previous movies. Finally, I understood who was Noah, who was Nick, who was William and that Nick's father was the second husband of Noah's mother.
Then the movie dropped another bomb. There is one scene where Noah screams in pain. Immediately after that, they show a funeral. I was completely shocked. What kind of editing is this? I kept waiting and carefully watched everyone attending the funeral. Noah was nowhere to be seen. Then I wondered Did Noah die? 😧 Only after a while did I realise that it was actually Nick's mother who had died. The funniest thing is that I had already read the novel, but because of this casting confusion I completely forgot everything.
The next thing I was hoping for was that they would skip the blood scene. But it was already there in the novel, so of course it happened here too. Nick went ahead with it. Only after that does Noah realise she is pregnant. Hey... they are step brother and step sister. What else could happen after that? They had already broken up. But whenever Nick sees Noah, he simply cannot control himself. If he even sees another guy near her, he becomes so possessive that he looks ready to kill someone. On the other hand, Noah is no saint either. If she sees a car, she wants to race it. In this part, she keeps acting as if she is avoiding Nick. But she also cannot stay away from him. Then how can pregnancy not happen?
All this is still okay. The whole world accepted this incest themed story as long as it was only biological fiction and made the novel a huge success. But the movies have not had the same success, especially this third one. What really made me laugh was that Noah was already six months pregnant and Nick never even noticed it. Seriously? Come on.
After watching this, I actually felt Why did I even watch the first two movies? I watched both parts mainly because of Asha Banks. This time I started watching expecting her, but she was not even there. Somehow they managed to finish the trilogy. But it was nothing special. The only things that made this story work for me were the rich lifestyle around Nick and the way Asha Banks brought Noah's character to life. Those two things carried the previous movies. This third part had neither of them, yet somehow they dragged it to the finish line and wrapped it up somehow.
